Luke's Tyres
Lukes Tyres is a family run business which originally started with dad Geoff. He never intended to open his own business as it was simply a job, for him to get some weekend money at the age of 18. He went into this job knowing absolutely nothing about the Tyre business, but it didn’t take him long to pick up particular skills and start to learn the trade. It also didn’t take him long for him to fall in love with the job, meeting customers and working in a garage. At around 18 months he started to think about making it a full-time career. It was then that he started looking into opening his own Tyre business. It wasn’t long before he found a local garage.
Geoff’s Grandad who has been in the motor trade for over 25 years, had a garage in Spencer Street, Gravesend. This was only used to store tools ready for Geoff and they have since expanded their business every year by employing more members of the family to follow in their footsteps. They struggled to meet the demands of local people in the smaller garage, so they have now moved to a much larger premises in order to cope with the influx of regular custom. To help they now have more tyre machines and more parking bays, in order to reduce the waiting times for their customers.
Regular deliveries from Germany have allowed them to provide a greater selection of quality Tyres for their customers and they will continue to offer fair prices to the local community, whilst making sure they are cheaper than all their rivals.

All welcome to the Gravesend Regatta with traditional skiff races, junior and adult fine boat races by Gravesend Rowing Club and Svitzer Tugs and RNLI.
Also, charity stalls, local traders and Smith’s Funfair.
There’s something for everyone – come along and enjoy the 177th Town Regatta.
